These are not true 'paintings' but are original works of art using a crosshatch technique in permanent black ink. This gives a very lifelike, almost 3d and photographic effect. The wildlife pictures in this gallery give an idea of the range of African animals that Niki can work on if you wish to commission an original piece of artwork. These original pictures of the African leopard and the African lion use the same crosshatch technique as for the African elephant pictures. The lion picture was however worked on a coloured background.
